Duke of Marmalade and Beach Beauty / Drakenstein Stud (p)

Five time Grade 1 winner Beach Beauty is to visit five time Group 1 winner Duke Of Marmalade for the 2014 Season.

Drakenstein Stud announced yesterday that Equus Champion Older Female and Horse Of The Year nominated Beach Beauty will visit European Champion Older Horse and current leading sire by 3rd crop stakes winners Duke Of Marmalade.

Beach Beauty is currently settling into life after racing extremely well and she is being well looked after in the paddock by her stablemate Schiffer also trained by Dennis Drier. The talented and superfast filly Schiffer will also be visiting Duke Of Marmalade this year.

The Duke is currently 8th on the European sires lists by stake winners ahead of Danehill Dancer, Dansili, High Chaparral, New Approach, Sea The Stars and Montjeu.

Duke Of Marmalade’s ever consistent Venus De Milo ran another impressive Group 1 placing over the weekend in the Nassau Stakes Gr.1 and is 1 of 10 first crop stakes winners by the Duke.

Drakenstein is fully supporting the Duke this year and will be sending the dams of Afrikaburn (Gr.1), Jeppe’s Reef (Gr.1), Disco Al (Gr.3), Madeira Mist (Gr.3), Shingwedzi (Gr.2) as well as Group 1 winners Lady Windermere and Sparkling Gem to name just a few.
