SCHOOL OF EQUINE MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE

Summerhill Stud, South Africa

A few days before international scholarship recipient Hazel Kayiya departed the sunny shores of South Africa for Hong Kong’s bright lights, she popped in to bid farewell to her Summerhill family. This is what she had to say:

Kipling once said “A woman’s guess is much more accurate than a man’s certainty.” Team Valor are on to something appointing Megan Jones as their VP.

At a time when there is so much chaos surrounding us in the industry, I was asked why was I am so calm. I simply replied: A man I adore once said - “Those with vision, are no longer looking in the rear view mirror.” Worrying about yesterday, does not make a better tomorrow. I believe the people currently at the helm of the industry will come to an amicable and workable solution. As for me, I am more excited and focused about taking the industry to greater heights. There are those who dream and then there are those who live their dreams.”

Hazel constantly impresses with her penmanship, and we do hope the notes continue. Be sure to watch this space.
