This horse has enormous sentimental value to me and I just want this whole nightmare to be over.
— Eric Breteau / Haras de l'Oron

It was made public on Monday that the older half-brother to Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe heroine Treve (Motivator), Trevimix (Linamix), was stolen from Haras de l’Oron in Calvados in broad daylight on 21st September. Trevimix was unplaced in two starts at two for trainer Freddy Head before suffering a tendon problem.

Eric Breteau, who bought the stallion from an equestrian centre before his younger sister started to shine on the track, told the press: “After receiving an anonymous phone call last week we have a strong idea where Trevimix could be being held. We have informed the police but they have not yet received a search warrant to access the premises. This horse has enormous sentimental value to me and I just want this whole nightmare to be over.”
