INGLIS EASTER YEARLING SALE

10 to 12 April 2012

After a string of mild and sunny days, Tuesday’s opening session of the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale at the Newmarket complex in Sydney was greeted by blustery winds and considerably cooler temperatures. Despite the marked reversal in weather, the day’s action proved much more consistent with a son of hot sire Fastnet Rock (Aus) realizing a session topping A$1 million ($1,026,074) from Coolmore. Flanked by a large group of associates in addition to advisors Demi O’Byrne and James Bester, Coolmore’sTom Magnier handled the bidding duties. “We thought this horse was the best horse in the sale,” confirmed Magnier. “James and Demi were very keen on him. The whole team really liked him, so we are very keen to get those very good Fastnet Rocks.”
