Oasis Dream and Shamardal at Juddmonte and Godolphin respectively

HOW LUCKY CAN YOU GET?

Regular followers of international racing will know that in recent weeks, Juddmonte Farm’s, OASIS DREAM, has built again on his reputation as one of the best sires in the British Isles.  Amazingly, for a horse of his bullet-like speed, he’s not only getting Group winners at the minimum trip, but they’re winning at a mile and half and beyond.

In the younger brigade, the first crop stallion to really put his hand up this season is SHAMARDAL, and one might argue that as a Champion Two-Year-Old, in his own right, this son of GIANT’S CAUSEWAY deserved to be there.  Truth is, his first crop looked unlikely precocious juveniles.  So, whatever your expectation, SHAMARDAL’s twelfth juvenile winner this weekend marked a startling start. And they’re not without a measure of class. Just a week ago, SHAKESPEAREAN took out the Solario Stakes (Gr3) and then on the Sabbath in Catholic Ireland, his son ARCTIC was the 4.5 length conqueror of the Round Tower Stakes (Gr3) at the Curragh.

The point is, besides the last two GALILEOS to be offered to Southern hemisphere time, sons of ANABAA, RED RANSOM and HUSSONET, and a daughter of the best young American sire of the moment, STREET CRY, we have a daughter of each of OASIS DREAM and SHAMARDAL scheduled for the Emperors Palace Ready to Run Sale (gallops 16th October and Sale 8th November).
