Lostintranslation

Without any doubt one of the most promising three-year-olds in the land, LOSTINTRANSLATION (Muhtafal ex Snooty Lady/Northern Guest), had to be put down last week following a severe bout of Laminitis. Out of an own sister to J & B Met winner hero, ANGUS, LOSTINTRANSLATION had already revealed himself among the best Western Cape three-year-olds, earning cheques at the highest level for Joey Ramsden in the Selangor Cup (Gr2) and the Cape Guineas (Gr1). However he kept his best for his last start before departing for KZN, with an eyebrow-raising performance in which he comprehensively outgunned the very highly regarded First Honour by 3.5 lengths and eliciting the remark from his jockey, Andrew Fortune, that he’d be in Durban ahead of the horse if that assured him of the ride in the Guineas.

The thought of LOSTINTRANSLATION and IMBONGI taking one another on was something the whole farm had warmed to, so this script comes with our sympathies to Joey, Fee and the team at Goodhope Racing.
