Just a week ago we suggested the Ready to Run may have produced two of the best three-year-old milers in South Africa, in UMNGAZI and IMBONGI, first and second respectively in the Emperor’s Palace Ready to Run Cup. As it happens, there are four graduates of the Ready to Run in the line up for next weekend’s KZN Guineas (previously the SA Guineas Gr1), besides these two, THANDOLWAMI and ART OF WAR.

It they’d all been in the same stable, we’d say we’d “had ‘em surrounded”. But since they represent independent interests, they’ll all be gunning for one another, that said, they’ll be very much a part of the Champions Season’s most exciting early shoot-outs.
