Gary and Dean AlexanderGary and Dean Alexander (Gary Alexander Racing)In a double for Summerhill and the Alexander’s, full brother and sister Cathay Prince and Oriental Dancer (both Rambo Dancer/Oriental Queen)  flew the flag high yesterday at Turffontein.

First up was Cathay Prince who after a slow start steadily made his way through the field and hit the front with 200m to go, and kept on to win well from Golden Chariot in the Racing Express Speed Horse Maiden over 1660m.

Not to be outdone, his full sister, Oriental Dancer, kept her end of the bargain by jumping well from the start in the MR 78 Handicap also over 1600m. Showing good pace she came up behind eventual second placed, Miss Symphony, to just win going away. A delighted Sharon Wilensky (wife of client and friend, Fred Wilensky) was effusive in her praise for both the Alexander’s and jockey Johnny Geroudis, who rode both horses to victory. These talented horses have lots more to offer – so watch this space!
