South American champion Latency (Arg) (Slew Gin Fizz) is slated to arrive in Dubai at the end of the week in preparation for a tilt at the $6-million G1 Dubai World Cup Mar. 29 at Nad al Sheba.
Racing on behalf of Dardo Fernandez Aramburu and family’s Stud El Bobo, Latency posted a three length score last out in the G1 Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini Dec. 15 at San Isidro, his seventh top-level success and 10th overall from 22 career starts. “It is a great adventure to take him to Dubai. The Dubai World Cup field is definitely top-class, and with horses like Curlin, Daaher, Student Council, Awesome Gem, Asiatic Boy (Arg), Vermilion (Jpn), Ramonti (Ity) and Premium Tap, it’s going to be a mouth-watering prospect taking them all on.” He added, “For me, the meaning of Latency winning the Dubai World Cup translates into experiencing heaven while being alive”, said owner Nicolas Aramburu.
