Among the Summerhill-bred winners of the past week were no less than five graduates of the Summerhill Ready to Run Sale, now firmly established as (pound-for-pound) the best source of Stakes winners in the country.

Magic Amigo (by Albarahin) (cost+- R130 000) gained his fourth win in Port Elizabeth Friday afternoon, while fellow three year old filly, Alejate (Muhtafal) (R60k) made it six victories in a seriously competitive contest at Greyville under lights the same evening, recording her 3rd in a row.

Lady Red (Russian Revival) (R65k) led another hat-trick for Summerhill-breds at Turffontein Saturday, when she dispensed with a top field for her fifth victory for Andre Theron and Diane Stenger. Miss Stenger was back in the winner’s circle with yet another 3 year old in Celestial Moon (R70k) (3rd victory), while Bhekinkosi’s own brother Emir (Kahal) (R75k) got home on his 2nd start for Gary Alexander, following a debut 2nd behind Bound to Travel who, as it turns out, won the Darley Arabian (Listed) on Sunday at Clairwood.
