The German stallion, Monsun, had already revealed himself to be world class during the past two seasons and it seems he’s no intention of stopping there.

This afternoon, his French bred son, Manduro powered his way clear of the big Coolmore hope, Irish Derby hero, Dylan Thomas (by Danehill) and his recent Group One conqueror, Notnowcato. As big wins go, this was the real deal; it’ll take a very good horse to beat this fellow in the major European ten furlong events as the season goes on, though that depends to a degree on the progress of the 3 year olds like Authorized and recent runaway winner of The Derby, and of course, lest we forget, Asiatic Boy.
