In his haste to catch the plane for South Africa, LABEEB (multiple Grade One winning son of Lear Fan) left America within a few weeks of the commencement of the 2004 Northern Hemisphere breeding season. As a result, he left just a handful of foals behind, and one of these, GRYLLS, was exported and sold at Doncaster (UK) for R400 000.

labeebLabeebGRYLLS made an impressive winning debut at Sandown, home of the Eclipse Stakes, on Friday, drawing away to win by 1,75 lengths. They seem to think we’ll see more of this fellow in the bigger juvenile events later in the season.
