Warwick Render and his team of energetic committee men (and women) at the KZN Breeders’ Club have popped up with an innovative initiative to promote people’s connectivity with the breeding of racehorses in the province. An imaginative series of events has been scheduled, including golf, fishing, evening entertainment etc, and culminating with an “open day” on the farms on Sunday 15th April.
Summerhill will, of course, be its usual hospitable self, and will be showing the 2007 National Sales draft and the stallions, at 10am, 11.30am and 3.00pm. We hope visitors will understand that, with the numbers involved, we need to do this on a scheduled basis so that the horses themselves are able to cope.
For those visitors wishing to book a table at Fedhasa’s recently proclaimed No. 1 East Coast restaurant (at Hartford House, on the Summerhill estate), there will be a limited number of tables available, though booking is advised (to avoid disappointment).
