The Ready to Race team certainly provide adrenalin, but not always for the reasons you’d expect.  Like all youngsters, sometimes their lessons - and the outcome - deviate slightly from course!

I happened to capture a series of photos of one filly unseating work rider Thokozani. All were travelling smoothly until the young madam decided to duck off the course at the 600m mark. Alas Thokazani’s stirrup leather  loosened and he was unceremoniously dumped onto the sand.

Horse and rider were unharmed in the incident.
