Mzwandele CwegaMzwandele Cwega The rain came last night - long hours of steady soaking moisture that will no doubt be the transforming ‘switch’ between winter and Spring. In addition to the snow covered peaks that greeted the dawn, we welcomed two more filly foals, and got our first glimpse of ‘the Australian connection’ - Danehill’s Group winning son WAY WEST - who has just arrived from the quarantine station.  He is a lovely looking horse - neat, attractive, and beautifully conformed. We welcome your inspection to add your thoughts to ours.

In the sub freezing temperatures that caused collars to be turned up and hands to be shoved deeply in pockets as people headed to the first meeting of the day, you needed to spare a thought for the farrier - Alison - who was out trimming mare’s feet in the open paddocks.
